A woman walked into the road northwest of Bemidji, was run over and killed, authorities said Wednesday.
The crash occurred about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday on Hwy. 2 in Shevlin, roughly 15 miles west of Bemidji, the state patrol said.
Ada L. Hvezda, 24, of Shevlin “walked out into the traffic lanes” and was hit by a westbound car, a statement from the patrol read.
The driver, 37-year-old Jason T. Schuett, of nearby Bagley, was not hurt.
