January 1, 2014 at 9:49AM

A shooting in an Andover home early Tuesday left one resident dead and a man who also lived there wounded, authorities said.

The person killed at the home in the 2200 block of 138th Lane NW. was a 43-year-old woman, according to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.

Found wounded in the home shortly after 4 a.m. was a 42-year-old man, the Sheriff's Office said.

Steven B. Martin was listed in fair condition Tuesday at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, a hospital spokesman said.

Authorities have yet to release the name of the woman who was shot or explain what might have led to the violence.

Both were "relatively new to the area," Sheriff's Cmdr. Paul Sommer said in a statement.

Sommer added that no suspects were being sought and that there was "no known safety risk to the general public."
