A woman's car crashed into trees on the Iron Range, killing her 1-year-old son, authorities said.
The wreck occurred about 8:10 a.m. Tuesday on Hwy. 135 in White Township, according to the State Patrol.
Driving was Morgan M. Skinner, 23, of nearby Gilbert, the patrol said. Skinner was hurt but not taken to a hospital.
Authorities have yet to identify the boy who did not survive the crash or explain his relationship to the driver.
Skinner's car drifted onto the right shoulder, and she overcorrected into the opposite lane, then overcorrected again into the northbound lane, the patrol said. The car rolled into trees and came to halt in a ditch.
