The body of 49-year-old Nancee Kretschmer of Wabasha has been recovered from the Mississippi River. The Wabasha County Sheriff's office says it received a call Thursday morning about the possibility of someone walking on the ice near Wabasha's Eagle Center.

Officers followed a lone pair of tracks onto the ice about 100 feet from open water. Winona County Dive Rescue responded and found the woman's body at 3:30 Thursday.
