Woman injured when she's hit by semi on Hwy. 52 in Rochester

The woman, who was on foot when she was hit, was taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester with life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.

A woman was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon when she was hit by a semitrailer truck in Rochester.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the woman was taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester with life-threatening injuries.

The accident happened at 1:30 p.m. on Hwy. 52 between 55th and 65th streets.

A car was headed south on the highway when it pulled over to the right shoulder. The State Patrol said "for unknown reasons," the woman who was in the car jumped out, ran into traffic and was struck by a semi.
