A woman who was allegedly stabbed by a former boyfriend in St. Paul on Sunday night has died, police said Monday morning.
Investigators have preliminary information on the identity of the woman, but are working with the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office to confirm that information. They have yet to release her name and age.
The stabbing occurred about 8:30 p.m. at an apartment building in the 300 block of Dale Street N. The victim was taken to Regions Hospital.
Details of what led to the stabbing are not yet known, police said.
St. Paul police Cmdr. Steve Frazer said late Sunday that police know who the suspect is and are searching for him, but he did not release the man's name.
