Minneapolis police on Wednesday released what they say is a cellphone photo that a rape victim took of her unidentified attacker.

The assault occurred May 23 at the 30-year-old victim's home in the 1300 block of 44th Avenue N., according to police.

The man punched the woman, tied her up and sexually assaulted her, police Sgt. Stephen McCarty said.

McCarty said "the victim knows the suspect somewhat, but she doesn't know his complete name."

Police ask that anyone with information about the suspect call Sgt. David Mattson at 612-673-2358.
