The 32-year-old woman killed over the weekend in St. Paul was identified as Carolyn Marie Leete, described by police as an acquaintance of the suspect arrested in her death.
St. Paul police were called to a residence in the 800 block of W. Minnehaha Ave. about 6 a.m. on Saturday, where they found Leete "unresponsive." The suspect, who was attempting to leave the area in a taxi, had been in a relationship with Leete, police said. He is being held in the Ramsey County jail.
Homicide investigators are still trying to determine why the woman was killed.
The cause of death is expected to be announced this week by the Ramsey County medical examiner's office, police said.
