A 47-year-old woman was fatally injured Thursday when the motorcycle she was riding along with another person crashed on Interstate 35 in Pine County, according to the State Patrol.

The woman, whose name and hometown were not released, died at St. Mary's hospital in Duluth, where she was airlifted after the crash about noon Thursday at milepost 203.

The other person aboard the Harley-Davidson was also airlifted to Duluth. That victim's name, gender, age and condition were unavailable, and the patrol's preliminary report did not say if the two were wearing helmets.

In another recent accident, a Missouri woman was killed Tuesday night when the car she was in collided with a semitrailer truck in the St. Louis County community of Linden Grove, the patrol said.

Elizabeth C. Hill, 19, of Liberty, Mo., died when the car she was in ran a stop sign at the intersection of Hwys. 73 and 1 and hit the semi, whose driver was not hurt.

The car's driver, Whitney Cragun, 21, of Ironton, Minn., and another passenger, Jonathon Vickers, 22, whose hometown was unavailable, suffered serious injuries. Two other people in Cragun's car were not seriously hurt.

Alcohol was not a factor, the patrol said.
