A woman died in a two vehicle crash Wednesday in the northern Minnesota town of Chisholm.
The crash at the intersection of Hwy. 169 and SE. 4th Street occurred just before 3 p.m. when the driver of a Ford Edge on 4th Street stopped at a stop sign then pulled into the intersection and was hit by a southbound pickup on Hwy. 169, the State Patrol said.
The driver of the Edge was identified as Francisca Minter, 69, of Chisholm. She was taken to a hospital in Duluth where she died, the patrol said.
The pickup driver, Mark Hagsten, 63, of Hibbing, was taken to a hospital with noncritical injuries, the patrol said.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.
