Authorities have identified the woman who was killed in a single-vehicle crash over the weekend in northeast Minneapolis that left the driver in the hospital.

The driver, who was injured, is suspected of having been impaired by drugs or alcohol, police said.
Asia A. Brown, 21, of Brooklyn Park, died about 2:50 a.m. Saturday at the scene of the wreck, Lowry Avenue and Grand Street, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
Excessive speed and driving while impaired by drugs or alcohol "appear to be contributing factors in this crash," police said in a statement over the weekend. The driver's identity has yet to be released.
The vehicle was heading east on Lowry and struck a pole near Grand, police said.
Brown and a woman in her 20s who was driving were extricated from the vehicle by emergency responders, according to police. The driver remains hospitalized as of Tuesday morning.
