An 18-year-old woman died in a two-vehicle crash on icy roads near Thief River Falls, Minn., on Thursday night, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Heidi Annette Anenson of Thief River Falls was eastbound on 240th St. NE. at about 10:18 p.m. when the Dodge Caravan she was driving failed to stop at a stop sign and slid through the intersection. A Ford traveling north on Hwy. 32 struck Anenson's vehicle on the passenger side, and both vehicles came to a stop in a ditch.
Anenson was wearing a seat belt, and alcohol was not a factor, the patrol said. The driver and a passenger in the other car were injured.
