Wolves looking to end 0-for tonight in Houston

The Wolves have lost seven consecutive games and 11 of their last 12. They haven't won on the second night of back-to-back games yet this season.

The Wolves are 0-6 on the second night of back-to-back games -- and 0-for-9 in you take their streak back to last season -- heading into tonight's game at Houston.

Losers by five points at home last night against Oklahoma City, the Wolves will get Nikola Pekovic back on the floor after he rested Tuesday and sit Kevin Garnett after he played nine minutes against the Thunder.

Pekovic for now isn't playing back-to-back games while he returns after having not playing for 10 months.

A Rockets team that is playing better and has won four games consecutivelty will be without guard Patrick Beverley, whose taking a personal leave to be with his ill grandmother, tonight. But they'll get Ty Lawson back now that he has served a three-game league suspension.

Former Wolves radio analyst and assistant coach J.B. Bickerstaff -- now leading the Rockets after Kevin McHale was fired in November -- said before the game he will start veteran Jason Terry at point guard.
