Three months after fans lined up for blocks outside Target Center to see the Timberwolves' summer-league team scrimmage, the Wolves will hold another free open one, this time with Kevin Garnett, Ricky Rubio and the whole gang, including No. 1 picks Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns.

The date is Monday night, Oct. 5. The time is 7 p.m.

It's free and open, but fans still need tickets, available online tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.

There's a maximum of six tickets per order.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and concession and merchandise stands will be open. Season-ticket members will have a special VIP seating area.

It'll be the first time for fans to try the new paperless, digital-ticketing Flash Seats system.

The scrimmage comes two nights before Wolves open preseason play with an Oct. 7 home game against Oklahoma City.

The sudden turn of the effort by Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez to buy the team “was awful” and the arbitration process that ensued “a traumatic experience.”
