Wolves head to Texas

Flynn accompanies team; no definite return to action set

November 30, 2010 at 9:57PM

Greetings. Kent Youngblood here. I was at practice as Jerry prepared to board a plane bound for Texas.

Here is your post-practice update:

1. No definite return date has been set for PG Jonny Flynn, but it's going to be soon, perhaps as early as the Sioux Falls Skyforce's home game Friday night. Coach Kurt Rambis said, should the timing be right, he'd like to have Flynn play as many as three games in the Developmental League before returning to play with the Wolves. Meanwhile, Flynn accompanied the Wolves on the trip so he can continue to practice with the team.

2. Martell Webster, coming back from back surgery, is ramping up his workload. He did a little more in practice Monday, felt good Tuesday and did even more; Rambis said Webster took part in about 10 minutes' worth of contact in practice Tuesday, which is a big step.

3. Backup center Nikola Pekovic (ankle) is still not ready to return and did not make the trip.

That's about it. Have a good day.
