Timberwolves forward Michael Beasley has countersued his former agent in a Maryland civil lawsuit, the Washington Post reported Wednesday.

Beasley's suit contends agent Joel Bell and Beasley's former AAU coach violated NCAA rules and federal laws governing agent conduct. The suit alleges the two conspired to build a relationship with Beasley since he was age 14 so Bell would represent Beasley professionally.

Beasley's accusations, filed last month, are part of a countersuit against Bell in response to a January breach-of-contract lawsuit against Beasley. Bell's original suit claims Beasley wrongfully terminated his representation agreement with Bell just prior to signing an endorsement deal with Adidas in 2008 to avoid paying the agent his commission.

The man he was traded for, Ayo Dosunmu, will likely eat up most of the minutes Conley would play.
