Wolves arrive home, Rubio plays on in Europe vs. Lakers today

Wolves first-round draft pick faces countryman Pau Gasol and NBA champs today in Barcelona

The Wolves landed back in Minnesota this morning after a long flight from Paris that included refueling stops in Iceland and Newfoundland.

There is an optional practice today for anyone who wants to come in, stretch their legs and get some shots up.

While the team returned after their 2-0 European swing, David Kahn continued on to Barcelona to watch Ricky Rubio's Regal Barcelona team play the Lakers this afternoon that wraps up the NBA EuropeLive tour.

You can watch the game live at 1:30 p.m. on ESPN 2.

The Wolves invited Rubio's visit to travel from Barcelona to Paris for the team's game against the Knicks and to meet owner Glen Taylor and others, but I don't believe that ever happened.

The Wolves next play Denver Tuesday at Target Center, then head off on another trip that takes them to Indiana, returns Wesley Johnson and an injured Jonny Flynn to Syracuse and finishes up in Sioux Falls.
