• Southern Indiana post player Jeron Lewis died Thursday, apparently from a head injury suffered during a game at Kentucky Wesleyan, the Evansville (Ind.) Courier & Press reported. The school confirmed his death. Lewis was 21.

• WISCONSIN 48, NO. 20 MICHIGAN STATE 45: Taylor Wurtz scored 16 points, including the winning layup, to complete a comeback and push the Badgers past the host Spartans. Wisconsin trailed 39-25 but closed with a 23-6 run, handing Michigan State its fourth consecutive loss.

• NO. 5 OHIO STATE 72, ILLINOIS 61: Maria Moeller came off the bench to hit two critical three-pointers as the host Buckeyes beat the Illini.

• INDIANA 62, MICHIGAN 60: Jori Davis made a go-ahead layup with 41 seconds left and the host Hoosiers defeated the Wolverines.

• PENN STATE 68, IOWA 62: Jaime Printy scored 26 points for the visiting Nittany Lions.

• VA. TECH 79, NO. 10 NORTH CAROLINA 64: The host Hokies (11-5, 1-1 ACC) earned their first victory over the Tar Heels (13-3, 1-1) since Dec. 1, 1984.

• NO. 4 TENNESSEE 66, FLORIDA 64: Angie Bjorklund's layup with 2.3 seconds left sent the Lady Vols (15-1, 3-0 SEC) past the host Gators (9-8, 2-2).

• VANDERBILT 66, NO. 6 GEORGIA 44: Tiffany Clarke had 14 points and host Vandy (13-4, 2-2 SEC) beat the Lady Bulldogs (16-1, 3-1).
