Hunters and trappers selected by lottery for Minnesota's late wolf hunting season must buy their license by Thursday or face losing them. Any late season licenses not sold by that day will be made available at noon on Nov. 19 on a first-come, first-served basis to early or late season applicants not selected in the lottery. Any eligible hunter or trapper may buy remaining licenses at noon Nov. 21. As of Tuesday, the DNR has sold more than 1,000 of the 1,800 late-season hunting licenses and more than 500 of the 600 wolf trapping licenses. The late hunting and trapping season begins Nov. 24, and is scheduled to conclude Jan. 31, but the season in each of Minnesota's three wolf hunting zones will close earlier if a zone's target harvest is reached before then. The target quota is 400 total for both seasons.
