With Cubs out of town, Sir Paul plays Wrigley

He may be 69, but Paul McCartney played Chicago's Wrigley Field for nearly three sweaty hours Sunday night -- not taking any breaks -- and found new passion in songs he's played hundreds of times.

It was the first time in more than 45 years that McCartney had played a Windy City baseball stadium, rocking Comiskey Park with the Beatles back in August 1965. He opened the sold-out concert with "Hello, Goodbye" and played two encores. The "cute" Beatle played Wrigley again Monday night.

This past weekend had another musical treat for baby boomers -- the Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island. On Sunday, Emmylou Harris joined Elvis Costello as a guest performer for a few songs. To wrap things up for the crowd of 10,000, festival legend Pete Seeger sang versions of "Turn, Turn, Turn" and "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?"

Star for SissyOscar-winning actress Sissy Spacek has received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 61-year-old actress was honored Monday with star No. 2,443 on Hollywood Boulevard. Spacek is known for her role as the troubled teen in "Carrie" and she won an Oscar for her portrayal of country singer Loretta Lynn in the 1981 movie "Coal Miner's Daughter." Her latest movie, "The Help," comes out later this month. Spacek's Academy Award nominations were for "Missing" (1982), "The River" (1984), "Crimes of the Heart" (1986), and "In the Bedroom" (2001). She's also the winner of three Golden Globes.

HELPING THE CHIMPS: Animal activist Bob Barker, 87, is now helping chimpanzees. Chimp Haven in Keithville, La., said his donation of $230,000 last month will pay to expand the 200-acre habitat to make room for five chimps and care for them for one year. Barker said the chimps came from a Texas research laboratory that went bankrupt. Barker, who lives in Los Angeles, says the chimps have spent their whole lives on concrete in cages but now they will live in the forest and, because they are curious and smart, they are expected to adapt well.

NOT GUILTY PLEA: The San Francisco woman charged with breaking into the hotel room of "Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek has pleaded not guilty to felony charges of burglary and possession of stolen property. Lucinda Moyers entered her plea Monday in San Francisco Superior Court. Authorities say Moyers stole cash, a bracelet and other items from the San Francisco hotel room on July 26 where Trebek was staying with his wife, Jean. All items except the cash and bracelet were recovered.
