Wisconsin prison escapee sought after armed home invasion

Wisconsin authorities are looking for a man who escaped from a Jackson County prison last week and is a suspect in a recent armed home invasion.

Sawyer County Sheriff Mark Kelsey said Keaden Timothy James Dumholt, 20, escaped on Aug. 2 from the Black River Correctional Center in Jackson County, roughly 60 miles southeast of Eau Claire. Dumholt is also suspected of leading Sawyer County Sheriff's Deputies and Hayward police on a pursuit after he and another man allegedly confronted a Sawyer County resident at gunpoint during a home invasion on Aug. 6.

Authorities could not find either suspect after a high-speed pursuit of a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Jackson County. Kelsey said Sawyer should be considered armed and dangerous.

Dumholt is white, about 5-feet-10 and 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information about Dumholt or his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Sawyer County Sheriff's Department at 715-634-4858, toll free at 877-699-4112 or dial 911.
