Wisconsin players who were named award winners Monday at the Badgers' post-season get-together:

MVP: sophomore defenseman Justin Schultz ... he had 18 goals, 47 points, was first team all-america pick

Most improved: sophomore forward Ryan Little and freshman forward Jefferson Dahl

Most competitive: senior forward Patrick Johnson

Seventh man award: senior forward Podge Turnbull

Unsung hero and scholastic award: senior goalie Scott Gudmandson

Most consistent: freshman forward Mike Mersch, he led Badgers with a plus-23 rating, which determined award winner ... close second was junior defenseman Jake Gardiner, plus-21
