After a temporary hiatus, it looks like winter will soon be back. The shiftto a colder pattern will start this weekend across the North Central stateswhere there will be snow and blowing snow along with much lower temperatures.The colder weather will reach the eastern part of the country next week.
Notice the big change in the jet stream that will occur. Currently, there is adeep trough over the western United States which is what is causing all thestorminess out there. Next week, the trough position will be in the easternpart of the country which is what will allow the cold to empty out of Canada.
