Here's a list of some selected popular carnival events and their times. Some of these events charge admission. For more information, go to winter-carnival.com.

Thursday: Moon Glow pedestrian parade, 5:30 p.m., downtown St. Paul

Friday: Royal coronation, 8 p.m., RiverCentre

Saturday: Securian winter run, 9 a.m., downtown; Grande Day Parade, 2 p.m., W. 7th Street to Rice Park; Kid's Day, 3:30-5:30 p.m., Landmark Center; Rock the Palace party and dance, 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., Crowne Plaza Hotel

Sunday: Happy Birthday Amadeus concert, 1 p.m., Landmark Center

Feb. 1: Pee Wee Hockey Tournament, 7 p.m., State Fairgrounds Coliseum; Drag Show, 8 p.m., Lowry Lab Theater

Feb. 2: Family Day, 9 a.m to 5 p.m., Landmark Center; Torchlight Parade, 5:30 p.m., Lowertown to Rice Park; fireworks, after parade and overthrow of Boreas, downtown; Vulcan Victory Dance, Crowne Plaza Hotel
