Saturday: Vulcan Coming Out Party, 10 to 11 a.m., Mears Park King Boreas Grande Day Parade, 2 p.m. start, downtown

Sunday: Ice carving competition, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with 3 p.m. judging, Rice Park • Snow sculpting finale and family activities, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with 1:15 p.m. announcement of winners, State Fairgrounds

Saturday, Jan. 31: Ice racing competition, 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. qualifying races, Lake Phalen • Torchlight Parade, 6 p.m. start with Vulcan overthrow of King Boreas about 7:30 p.m., downtown

Sunday, Feb. 1: Ice racing competition, 10 a.m. and noon qualifying races, and 2 p.m. championship race, Lake Phalen
