Villa Forano 'Le Piagge' Colli Maceratesi Ribona 2015

There's this thing called the Wine Century Club, meaning one has tried 100 different grapes. It's a fun deal, and it's just as enjoyable to continue adding to the tally. The Villa Forano "Le Piagge" Colli Maceratesi Ribona 2015 ($15) boasts great purity and freshness on the nose, a very tasty tropical-citrus fruit amalgam on the palate and a mouthwatering, refreshing finish. It made me want to try not only more ribona, but more wines in general from the underappreciated Italian region of Le Marche. This lively but complex white is a rock-solid seafood match, from ceviche to salmon, and should play well with rich, creamy pastas.

Available at Sentyrz, Domacin, the Wine Shop, Thomas, the Little Wine Shoppe and the Wine Thief.
