Pico Maccario Lavignone Piemonte Rosato 2017

The veritable explosion of pink-wine popularity has brought infinitely more rosé offerings to these shores from all over. Even five years ago, something from Italy's Piedmont region was hard to find on local shelves. So it's seriously swell to have gems such as the Pico Maccario Lavignone Piemonte Rosato 2017 ($20) around. Start with the gorgeous pale hue, proceed with the bright red-berry/melon nose and refreshing fruit flavors laced with refreshing mineral notes and cap it off with a beautifully balanced finish. This dryish beauty is perfect for the season, as in tomato season, and should play well with halibut, shrimp and other seafood.

Available at the Wine Shop and Liberty Village.
