Kunde Sonoma Valley Magnolia Lane Sauvignon Blanc 2015
We’re all susceptible to catchphrases from TV ads. For years, I’ve used “limon” to describe wines that have lemon and lime flavors, especially if they’re, well, Sprite-ly (sorry, couldn’t resist). And does the Kunde Sonoma Valley Magnolia Lane Sauvignon Blanc 2015 ($17) have all that and lots more. It’s super-refreshing with perfectly ripe fruit, superharmonious with zesty mineral notes and superlong with a smooth, vibrant finish. Yum. Our glorious weather still affords the chance to enjoy some shrimp or other seafood on the barbecue, and this California white is a splendid match for that as well as most picnic food, including fried chicken and the last of the summer’s tomatoes.
Available at Liquor Boy, Glen Lake, MGM Calhoun and WineStreet Spirits.
