'Dentelle'

Rustic reds with mouthwatering acidity are perfect for a certain holiday feast that looms in the near future. The Domaine Rouge Bleu "Dentelle" Carignan-Grenache 2012 ($18) is just such an offering, featuring a wonderfully earthy nose, a tasty amalgam of red-fruit flavors and a surpassingly long finish. This French red is a great introduction to the friendly but elegant wines of the southern Rhône region. Rouge Bleu is truly an international winery: A couple of the owners are from the Twin Cities, and the winemaker hails from Australia. Besides a Turkey Day feast, this wine will play well with hearty soups.

Available at Village Wine & Spirits, North Loop, Bridgeview (Moorhead), Mount Royal (Duluth), South Lyndale and Lakeside.
