Wine deal: Our Daily Red

January 31, 2015 at 8:00PM

The Our Daily Red blend ($9) offers up a rare amalgam: It is a deftly made organic wine, one of the very best bulk-produced wines from California's Central Valley that I've encountered, and has no detectable sulfites. Some seriously tasty black fruit from cabernet, syrah and carignan grapes is complemented by soft but notable tannins. The finish is lush and lovely. It's a swell entertaining wine that also will play well with everyday American food — burgers, brats, pizza, etc.

Available at MGM Woodbury, Apple Valley munis, Whole Foods Maple Grove and Minneapolis, Top Valu, Gator Liquor, Liberty Village and the Little Wine Shoppe.
