Wine

Eric Louis' great-great-grandmother sold wines at the local market, but this fourth-generation vintner has taken the wines to another level. The 2012 Eric Louis Loire Sauvignon Blanc ($14) offers a clean, focused nose and brisk, racy citrus fruit before taking on a richer tone for the finish. This is a great wine for a book-club gathering or other social situations, and it pairs nicely with lighter fish and shellfish dishes, not to mention goat cheese.

Available at Dolce Vita, France 44, Zipp's, Wine Thief, Dunn Bros. (Eden Prairie), Solo Vino and Edina Liquors (W. 50th Street).
