Wine
Well, clearly our overly lengthy syrah season has arrived. And what better way to greet it than with a dandy $14 bottle from just outside the Rhone's Crozes-Hermitage appellation. The 2011 Domaine des Remizieres Syrah is rich and ripe but with lovely lavender notes and a meaty element, both classic traits of the region from which it sprang. This hearty red pairs beautifully with roasted or braised meet and fall veggies and is versatile enough to be a nice addition to the Thanksgiving table. Available at Kowalski's, Sentyrz, Solo Vino and North Loop.
