DALLAS — Courtney Williams scored 21 points, Jordan Jones had 16 and No. 4 Texas A&M beat SMU 70-62 on Tuesday night.
Jones also had eight rebounds, seven assists and five steals as the Aggies joined No. 16 Georgia as the only Division I women's teams with a 10-0 record.
Destynee Hives-McCray scored 15 points for SMU (4-5). Alicia Froling had 13 points and 15 rebounds, and twin sister Keely Froling added 12 points and 13 boards.
Texas A&M shot 38.5 percent (25 for 65) in one of its worst shooting performances of the season. It was averaging 46.3 percent coming into the game.
The Aggies managed to hold after they had a 15-point lead trimmed to six with 1:20 left.
Gabrielle Wilkins, the Mustangs' leading scorer coming into the night at 11 points per game, was limited to five on 1-for-9 shooting. Wilkins missed her first six field-goal attempts.
Texas A&M's leading scorer coming into the day also struggled. Courtney Walker, who was averaging 16.8 points, was 3-for-12 from the floor and scored nine points.
The Aggies led 33-26 at the break.
