SooVAC's Get Lucky 2016

Saturday: In a spectacular show of support, many of the Twin Cities' best-known and up-and-coming talents — 68 at last count — have donated paintings, drawings, photos, sculpture and other art to help Soo Visual Arts Center balance its budget and stay warm. The sassy little south Minneapolis gallery will show and sell it all at Get Lucky 2016, the center's annual fundraising party. Contributors range alphabetically from Alyssa Baguss to Samual Weinberg, whose "Pink Man Investigations 5" is shown here. Plus munchables from Bryant-Lake Bowl, Canteen, Chowgirls, Common Roots and the Third Bird. (7-11 p.m. Sat., $45 advance/$55 door, 2909 Bryant Av. S., Suite 101, Mpls. 612-871-2263, soovac.org.)
