Wild to recall Scandella; no trades expected

Wild news

December 20, 2010 at 12:50AM

Evening. Couple little updates from today.

The Wild didn't practice, but defenseman Nick Schultz is questionable bordering on doubtful with an upper body injury for Monday's game vs. Calgary. Cam Barker (personal) was expected to rejoin the team today. We'll find out in the morning if he did return.

I'm hearing the Wild has recalled rookie defenseman Marco Scandella, who played real well in his brief stay earlier this season and is having a good year in Houston.

Only bit of Calgary news today apparently was the fact that hard-nosed forward Curtis Glencross, a scratch the last few games, will return to the Flames' lineup.

No Wild trades are expected prior to the 11:59 p.m. holiday roster freeze. The embargo lasts until Dec. 28. In fact, I don't think any's happened in the league today.

I'll talk to you Monday.
