Wild record: 46-27-8, 100 points
In the Central Division: The Wild is in fourth place but could move up to third. To do that, it would have to win at St. Louis on Saturday while Chicago (102 points) would have to lose in regulation at Colorado on Saturday. If the Wild finishes third in the Central, it would face second-place Nashville in the first round of the playoffs.
In the wild-card race: The Wild has clinched at least the top wild-card spot in the Western Conference. If Minnesota doesn’t finish third in the Central, it would face either St. Louis or Anaheim, whichever division winner has the worse record.
Also in the West: St. Louis clinched the Central. Calgary beat Los Angeles on Thursday, securing a playoff berth and eliminating the Kings, and Winnipeg clinched the No. 2 wild-card spot because of the Kings’ loss.
