In an oddity of NHL scheduling, the Wild is 8-1-1 in its past 10 meetings with the Coyotes, including a seven-game point streak, yet is 4-6 in its past 10 against the Coyotes at home. The Wild is 4-6 in the past 10 games at home against the Coyotes following a seven-game winning streak.

Players to watch: Wild LW Zach Parise owns a 13-game point streak against the Coyotes (Dec. 15, 2007-current), the longest active point streak by one player vs. a single NHL opponent. C/RW Charlie Coyle has goals in consecutive games. Defenseman Marco Scandella has three assists in the past two games. C Erik Haula has a point in five of the past seven games. C Jarret Stoll has goals in two of the past three games. Coyotes captain Shane Doan has 925 points, four short of tying Dale Hawerchuk for the franchise record. LW Max Domi is tied for second among NHL rookies with 32 points and tied for fourth with 13 goals.

Numbers: The Wild, which has the NHL's sixth-ranked home power play (23.9 percent), is 1-for-13 on the power play at home the past eight games. The Coyotes rank 28th in the NHL on the penalty kill (76.4 percent).

Injuries: Wild LW/RW Ryan Carter (hand) is out. Coyotes G Mike Smith (sports hernia) and C Joe Vitale (eye) are out and D Nicklas Grossmann (ill) is questionable.
