The Wild is in the midst of bringing Brad Staubitz back to Minnesota.
Sent to the minors earlier this month, Staubitz was placed on re-entry waivers Saturday in a design to give teams a chance to take him at half price. If he clears Monday, he could theoretically remain on the Wild because there's no 23-man roster limitation after the trade deadline.
Also, the Wild reassigned goalie Matt Hackett, meaning Josh Harding will dress against the Sharks. Chad Rau was also reassigned.
Stephane Veilleux, acquired in the Marek Zidlicky trade on Friday, was recalled from Houston and is expected to face the Sharks. Nick Palmieri and Kurtis Foster, also picked up in the trade, will also play.
