STAR TRIBUNE'S THREE STARS

1. Niklas Backstrom, Wild: Improved to 20-5-2 all-time against the Avs with a 2.16 goals-against average and .928 save percentage with a 37-save shutout, his fourth against Colorado.

2. Greg Zanon, Wild: Redeemed himself from a tough third period Tuesday with his 11th career goal (and first since Oct. 15), three hits and four blocked shots.

3. Nate Prosser, Wild: Poised blue-liner had four hits and five blocked shots, his biggest coming moments before Zanon's goal when he robbed Cody McLeod of a goal.
