"Wicked" is back. The hit tour will return to the Orpheum Theatre for a six-week engagement, Aug. 11-Sept. 19. Two previous stops, in 2006 and 2008, sold out quickly. Ticket sales have begun for Hennepin Theatre Trust donors, season ticket holders and groups of at least 20. The general sale has not been announced.

"Wicked" won three Tony awards and continues to post Broadway grosses of more than $1 million a week. It has toured nationally for about five years. It is a fanciful back story about the witches of Oz — including a sympathetic look at the emerald-skinned Elphaba, who we know as the Wicked Witch of the West.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
