ABC has cancelled the low-rated freshman drama "Wicked City," TheWrap has learned.

The series, starring Ed Westwick and Erika Christensen as a pair of Bonnie and Clyde-esque serial killers, has been pulled from the network's schedule, with reruns of "Shark Tank" to begin airing in its place next week.

Production on "Wicked City" will conclude after Episode 8, which is currently shooting. Three episodes of the show have aired so far, and ABC has not made a decision about when or if the remaining episodes will be made available.

The series debuted to disappointing ratings last month against Game 1 of Fox's World Series, receiving just a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 and 3.3 million total viewers. The show's ratings continued to drop with each subsequent episode, the most recent outing pulling a historically low 0.4 rating in the demo.

The third episode of "Wicked City" actually matched the lowest-rated non-Saturday drama original on the major four broadcast networks in Nielsen People Meter history.
