Even cynical celeb-bloggers can't seem to fathom the why, but "Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi and ex-"SNL"-er David Spade were photographed out in Hollywood, apparently on a date. It's almost as strange as, say, Lakshmi having married Salman Rushdie, or Spade dating Heather Locklear. But, hey, it happens.
