The University of Minnesota has named three finalists from out of state for the job of chancellor of the Crookston campus.

They are:

  • Steven Hardin, vice president and dean of academic affairs at the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford
    • Karla Hughes, provost and vice president for academic affairs, Morehead State University, Kentucky
      • Fred Wood, vice chancellor for student affairs, University of California-Davis

Their public interviews begin May 1.

A 13-member search committee recommended the three finalists after private interviews last weekend, according to a news release. To see the candidates' backgrounds, photos and the schedule for their public forums, click here.

Current Chancellor Charles Casey is retiring at the end of this academic year.
