Who pays when snow buries plans?

Many Whistleblower readers think they should get a refund for shows that went on despite the blizzard.

While many performances and sporting events were called off by last weekend's blizzard, plenty of Whistleblower readers are steamed about holding unused tickets for the shows that went on.

"Disney On Ice," for instance, had originally offered Saturday's ticket holders a seat at the performance on Sunday, a day with only marginally better travel conditions. On Tuesday, "Disney on Ice" announced that those with unused weekend tickets can get vouchers for next December's engagement at the Xcel Energy Center. But since everybody's weekend plans were pretty much buried, how far should venues go to compensate ticket holders for events they couldn't attend?
