A White Bear Lake High School student died Friday after being injured in an accident last week.

Sawyer Moeller was a freshman at the high school's North Campus, according to a letter sent to parents.

Moeller was injured in a campus accident Nov. 10 and was taken to the hospital, according to a district spokeswoman. Further details were not available late Friday.

According to the letter sent to parents, students at the high school had been notified of Moeller's death, and mental health resources had been made available.

Sisloob Lo, also a freshman at White Bear Lake, said he met Moeller through their middle school musical last year.

"He was a great choir kid," Lo said. "He was also one of the greatest crew members the theater program could ever have."

Moeller was well-liked and had a lot of friends, Lo said.

"He was the kind of kid that found the best things in like every situation," he said. "Whenever one of his friends was sad, he'd always try to make them happy."

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
