Update: MNsure officials say they had an issue with a server, which affected account creation and ability to compare plans side by side. April Todd-Malmlov, MNsure executive director, said the issue is being fixed.

Todd-Malmlov said 500 accounts were created in the first hour and the site had the second highest webside volume that the state has seen.

I visited the new Mnsure site this afternoon. I was hoping to create an account, confirm my identity and discover my estimate for assistance to purchase health insurance. Unfortunately I kept receiving sever error messages and was unable to create an account. Very disappointing.

No word yet from MNsure on what may be causing the issues. We'll update you with their comments.
