Which classic book do you absolutely hate?

A HarperCollins blog took a little poll. And the answer is ...

Actually, there were several answers: "The Grapes of Wrath." "Madame Bovary." "Moby Dick." Anything by Jane Austen. (That's blasphemy, right?)

"Ulysses." (FYI, on our Sunday books page this weekend we're running a review of a recent book called "Ulysses and Us," a book that attempts to return James Joyce's classic to the general reader.)

And my favorite vote for most-hated classic: "Ethan Frome. Sorry; suicide by toboggan is just lame." Want to cast a vote? Head over to the HarperCollins blog, "The Roaring Twenties."
