Where to find the cheapest Halloween candy

I went to Aldi, Cub, Menards, Target, Sam's Club, Costco and Walgreens in search of the cheapest bag of Halloween candy. Where do you think I found the cheapest bag?

I would have thought I'd find the cheapest bag of Halloween candy at Aldi or Sam's Club. Wrong, I found it at Menards. The price for 2.5 lbs. of Kiddie Mix is only $1.99 after the mail-in rebate of $1.50. That's about six cents an ounce. What's in Kiddie Mix? Lolli-pops, SweetTarts, SuperBubble, Jaw Breakersm and Smarties.

Okay, it's not chocolate. You'll pay about 15 cents an ounce for that at the warehouse clubs. The best deal I found was at Costco. Get 90 ounces (150 pieces) of Hershey, Nestle and Mars bars for $14. If you consider Tootsie Rolls as a chocolate bar, then pick up the canister of 760 Tootsie Roll Midgees (5 lbs.) for $6.88 at Sam's Club. That's about 9 cents an ounce.
