Trove of memories
The Vikings Museum traces the franchise's history with rarely before seen artifacts — some large, some small and all likely to strike a chord with avid Vikings fans. There's much to be seen, but here are just a few of the pieces to be showcased:
Early illustrations of the Vikings logo and uniforms from the inaugural 1961 season
A pair of seats and a faded goalpost from the Metrodome
An original helmet from the 1961 season
A pair of Pumas autographed by Hall of Famer, Alan Page
A headset worn by Bud Grant
A goalpost from the 1976 NFC Championship Game
A leather helmet worn by Bud Grant's father in the 1920s while with the Duluth Eskimos
A 1980s-era helmet car, the largest item in the museum
