Lakewinds Natural Foods is hosting its fifth annual Gluten-Free Round-Ups on April 21 in Chanhassen (435 Pond Promenade) and April 22 in Minnetonka (17501 Minnetonka Blvd.), with a special emphasis on helping those recently found to have celiac disease or a gluten-intolerance to transition to a gluten-free diet. Vendors will be offering samples and info, including Kettle Cuisine, a Massachuetts maker of all-natural gluten-free frozen soups. For more info, visit www.lakewinds.com.

Big Bowl, big heart If it's Earth Day (and it is on April 22), then Big Bowl restaurants are giving away reusable tote bags with every takeout order. The giveaway is a tradition in their efforts to support the environment. They'll also deduct 50 cents from every takeout order if you pick it up with the bag. Now that's fortunate, cookie.

Prosecco, Parma, prose Parma 8200 is hosting a tasting of three Proseccos on Tuesday with author N.M. Kelby, back from touring Italy with "White Truffles in Winter," her novel about legendary chef Auguste Escoffier. Cost is $10, with $10 off a meal for those staying to dine at Parma, 5600 W. 83rd St., Bloomington. A portion of book sales go to the Timberwolves' Fastbreak Foundation. For reservations, call 952-896-8888.

Fame where you find it Frank's Sauerkraut urges you to submit a photo of yourself, family or group enjoying their pickled cabbage for a chance to have that photo appear on a Frank's label. All photos will appear on the company's Facebook page and website, and three Minnesota families will land on a label. Entrants must tell how they "make life sweet" using Frank's Traditional and Sweet Sauerkraut, with recipes, stories or anecdotes. For entry details, visit www.myfrankskraut.com.
